Our Love Story
Once upon a time, two strangers swiped right on Tinder.

And no, that isn’t the end of this story.
January 2, 2020 was not only the day after the New Year, but the day things would never be the same again for Beatrice and Alex.
One wouldn’t think that the wildly rambunctious Beatrice - who loves Friends-themed parties, music festivals, and drinking games - would fit so well with the quietly thoughtful Alex - who loves video games, basketball, and anime. Yet, their first date proved otherwise; they talked for 6 hours, diving deep into their relationships with their families and their shared values, unknowingly creating the emotional stability that would later become the foundation of their relationship. There were no games, fluff, or pretenses; just two people connecting as they were.
And the following year soon tested them. While the pandemic forced many people apart, it forced the newly coupled Beatrice and Alex to prioritize and lean on each other through a very vulnerable and emotional time. They navigated the ups and downs together, and in 2021, they moved in to tackle life’s challenges together with their little pup, Boo.
Being Boo’s dad came very naturally to Alex, and nurturing this small family became foundational in their relationship. Boo was so small, but the paw print she left on their lives was monumental. Despite the difficulties, Alex rose to the challenge, and they both gave Boo the best life - just as good as the life Boo gave them - until her final day.
Grounded in their shared love for their families, friends, wine, music, basketball, and dancing, Beatrice and Alex lived - and continue to live - a full life together. And on May 20, 2023, Alex proposed to Beatrice amongst the rolling hills of Napa Valley.
Beatrice and Alex found solace, joy, and unwavering support in each other. As they celebrate and look back on the four remarkable years they’ve shared together, they remain profoundly thankful for their beautiful journey.
While January 2020 marked what some might call the end of the world, it was - serendipitously - the beginning of theirs.
And no, this still isn’t the end of their story.
